With the VibroLyzer VL 8000 Hofmann Mess- und Auswuchttechnik presents an innovative portable device for field balancing as well as measuring and assessing vibrations. Before the product was developed in-house, Hofmann conducted an intensive customer survey. This was done to ensure that the VL 8000 was tailored to the market needs.

The VL 8000, too, reflects our Philosophy to offer products to the market that are simple and reliable in their operation, that feature a clear and unambiguous display of results as well as fast and precise processing of measurement values.

For readability the VL 8000 has a very large colour LCD. The Windows CE operating system provides the same simple operation operators are used to from their PCs. Menus are limited to what is really needed for the tasks. There is no lengthy clicking through submenus; you get to work rapidly with VL 8000.

Measurement results are transmitted to a PC and evaluated, archived or logged using the VL 8000 PC software.

When balancing in one or two planes, the unbalance can be converted into any common correction units. This reduces downtime and saves money. The extensive processing of measurement values ensures that rotors such as machine tool spindles can be balanced down to residual vibrations in the nanometre region.

The VL 8000, however, can also be used for vibration measurements and analyses because unbalance is not always the cause of vibrations. High performance tools such as frequency, tracking and envelope analysis can help find the reason for any vibration. With the determination of the bearing condition the VL 8000 is a universal tool for the manufacturing and maintenance of machines.
